This photo was taken inside a Grade A commercial building (meaning buildings boasts high quality and charge tenants expensive rents)  on a strip of reclaimed land (land made by filling a body or water or part of a body of water with a huge amount of heavy rock and/or cement) in the Quarry Bay area of Hong Kong.

Before it became a piece of reclaimed land, people could go and swim in the nearby area where one could find people in swimsuits.

Today, it has become a place for buildings. Is the subject and her action misplaced? Today she is obviously, but she wasn't when that location was waterfront where aquatic activities were proper.

The presence of misplacement versus the absence of an evidence of the past and the resulted strangeness are what I want to bring about in this work.

很多年前這裡是岸邊,不遠處可游泳。今天連曾經有海岸的痕跡都沒有了。穿上去游泳的裝束,站在甲級商廈中往外望,是一種有關都市空間歷史的錯置。
